Electronics giant LG revealed new OLED displays that can not only bend and roll, but that users can see through.

The company's 18-inch flexible OLED features a high-defintion resolution of 1200 x 810, and can be rolled up to a radius of 1.1 inches without impacting the display.

"This proves that LG Display can bring rollable TVs of more than 50 inches to the market in the future," LG said in a statement.

The display uses a high molecular substance-based polyimide film that LG says reduces the display's thickness and makes it more flexible.

In-Byung Kang, senior vice president and head of LG's research and development center, says the company is "confident" they can develop a flexible Ultra HD panel by 2017.

Talk of flexible displays is not new, as other tech companies have dabbled in the pliable screens. Samsung showcased its Youm flexible screens during 2013's Consumer Electronics Show. And it's not just TVs adding bendable screens. Last fall, LG revealed it was working on a flexible display for smartphones.

LG also unveiled an 18-inch transparent OLED display, which the company expects to develop into a larger display by 2017.
